Below is a list of our most frequently asked questions. If you cannot find the answer you seek please do not hesitate in contacting us at info@e-dirs.com.

Q. We already have a database directory – do we need to recompile all our data?
A. No additional work is required on your part - we can take your existing data and insert it into the new directory for you.

Q. Can the directory be part of our existing website?
A. Yes. Our directories are designed to integrate into any existing website. Alternatively, you can have the directory as an independent website if you prefer.

Q. How long will it take us to go live?  
A.  If you already have your information in a database or spreadsheet format, we can usually have you up and running within two weeks.

Q. We also need to provide a hardcopy of our directory – can we use the e-directory for this?
A.  We are currently developing a PDF compiler so you can build custom hard copy versions of your directory ready for print.

Q. What if your standard directory does not fit our needs?
A.  Not a problem - we also offer custom solutions.

Q. We have no web specialists here - who updates the system? 
A.  The system is user-friendly and can be used by anyone with basic MS Word skills. We provide free training and include technical support throughout the duration of the license.

Q. We are worried about meeting accessibility standards – how accessible is the directory?
A.  The directory meets WCAG1 AAA accessibility standards.

Q. We already use a similar system – do we need to recompile all our data?
A. No additional work is required on your part - we can take your existing data and insert it into Activity Monitor for you, depending on the complexity an additional fee may be required.

Q. How easy can we produce reports?
A. Reports are available within just a few clicks of the mouse, by selecting your project and a date range you instantly get the stats you require. For AgeUK clients you can also get an I&A code report already formatted to AgeUK National requirements. We also provide a summary report that gives you a quick view of all your projects.

Q. Can we search the system for clients?  
A.  Yes you can, all sections of Activity Monitor are searchable by any of the core fields, for instance you could find a client by their surname or even their phone number.

Q. How detailed is the history of the client?
A.  Everything you record against a client is detailed in the client history panel in date order.

Q. What if we need functionality that isn't in the system?
A.  Not a problem - we also offer custom solutions.
